LIGHT POLLUTION

Light pollution is the alteration of the natural amount of light present in the night environment caused by the introduction of artificial light. 

 CAUSES OF LIGHT POLLUTION

• Public and private lighting systems that not only emit the light needed for night vision, but also disperse much of it in other directions. These also cause damage to animals.
• Signs and lights that are always on in the shops.
• Stadium lighting for sporting events.  

REMEDIES OF LIGHT POLLUTION 

-Flashing streetlights.

-Turning off lights at night for work purposes only.

-Energy saving for all household appliances.

-Replace lighting fixtures that are not needed or do not work.
