GROUND POLLUTION
13.02.2021
Ground pollution is the alteration of chemical-physical and biological equilibrium of the soil, but also the tendency towards erosion and landslide.
CAUSES OF GROUND POLLUTION
- Too much excavating to search for minerals can cause landslides;
- The extreme water withdrawals make the water -bearing layer lower. Extreme water-bearing layer withdrawals can have also chemical consequences like the coming of seawater into the water-bearing layer making the fresh water salty;
- The wrong disposal of rubbish that can change the quality of food that grows there.
REMEDIES FOR GROUND POLLUTION
- The correct managent of all types of waste;
- The ban on chemical products (which can be strongly contaminants) in agricultural activities;
- Developing programs of reforestation and reclamation, in order to clean contaminated lands;
- Correct recycling;
- Using materials which can be recycled (for example paper or glass instead of plastic);
- Making responsible use of water and try not waste it;
- Enacting rules to protect the natural environment, and respect them.
